§ 42-75. Water taps.

  • (a)

    A charge as set forth in subsection (c) of this section shall be made for any connection with the water system of the city. The fees shall be paid in advance upon the making of an application for a water tap to the city utility department.

    (b)

    The house connection, or water tap, shall be installed at the sole expense of the connector. The city may bear the cost of laying any required footage of pipe necessary to bring the water system to the connector's property line; however, the cost of any such footage will be paid for by the connector at a cost equal to the costs to the city. All such connections shall be in accordance with the standards and regulations of the city, and shall be subject to inspection by the city.

    (c)

    Water tap charges. The water connection fees are on file in the city secretary's office.

    (d)

    Water meter installation fees are on file in the city secretary's office.
