§ 42-76. Water meters.

  • (a)

    Setting meters for new homes. Once the city sets a water meter, regardless of whether the dwelling unit is complete or not, the owner of said unit will be billed the minimum charge for water until such time as the unit becomes occupied and an account is established in a resident's name.

    (b)

    Each dwelling unit shall have its own water meter. The basic policy of the city is that each dwelling unit shall have its own water meter, to be located on public property, and owner shall be billed for water, sewer, and garbage charges in one bill, which shall be indivisible. Failure to pay same promptly when due shall subject the user to having his water cut off in accordance with division 2 of this article.
