§ 42-41. Water application fee, deposits and transfer fees.

(a)

To initiate water or wastewater service with the city, a nonrefundable application fee in the amount of $25.00 shall be required. In addition to the application fee, all water users will make a deposit to the city prior to obtaining service. The standard deposit fee will be based upon meter size as follows:

¾″	$200.00
1″	200.00
1½″	250.00
2″	300.00
3″	400.00
4″	500.00
Over 4″	600.00

 

(b)

Said deposit will be held by the city until such applicant's utility services for which the deposit was made will be terminated. Upon termination of such service, the applicant will be entitled to a refund of said deposit, less any amount which is due and owed to the city. All water users who discontinue service at one location but desire service at another location within the city's water service area will be charged a transfer fee and the full deposit will be transferred to the new account.
