§ 14. Authentication and Recording, Codification.

A.

Authentication and Recording. The city secretary shall authenticate by his signature and record in full in a properly indexed book kept for the purpose, all ordinances and resolutions adopted by the council. All ordinances shall be categorically filed in the order in which adopted. This record shall be open for public inspection.

B.

Codification. The Elgin City Code shall be reviewed and revised at least every five (5) years. The council shall repeal and revise any ordinances as may be obsolete or in conflict with this Charter.
