§ 6-156. Code adopted by reference.

(a)

The International Fuel Gas Code, 2012 edition and latest revisions thereto, including all appendices, except the recommended permit fee schedule, is hereby adopted as the gas code of the city. Such code, one copy of which shall be placed on file in the office of the city secretary, is made a part hereof as if set out verbatim and shall be in effect except as it may be in conflict with provisions of this article.

(b)

At such time as a new edition of the gas code is published, the gas official shall obtain a copy and, after review, present it to the city council for approval. After adoption by the city council, the new edition shall be placed on file with the city secretary and shall become the official gas code. Should the city council desire to make any modifications to the new edition of the gas code not reflected in this article, they shall adopt the amendments thereto by ordinance.
