§ 42-400. Level I, voluntary conservation.
Voluntary conservation will be in existence May 1 through September 30 and will initiate the following actions:
(1)
City activates a water conservation information center and designates an information person who advises public of water use conditions and conservation methods.
(2)
All outdoor residential uses are discouraged between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., except with a handheld hose equipped with a positive shutoff nozzle, handheld bucket or drip irrigation system.
(3)
Waste of water is strongly discouraged. This includes a hose left unattended, failing to repair controllable leaks, allowing water to run off into a gutter, ditch or drain; and washing sidewalks, driveways, parking areas, tennis courts, patios or other paved areas with water, except where there is an immediate public health or safety concern.
