§ 42-370. Level 4, severe drought or water emergency conditions.

  • Severe drought or water emergency conditions are reached when the average daily water consumption reaches 95 percent of production/distribution capacity for a 24-hour period, the aquifer level drops to a level which is considered critical or average daily water consumption will not enable storage levels to be maintained and:

    (1)

    System demand exceeds available high service pump capacity;

    (2)

    There is detection of water systems failure from acts of God (tornados, hurricanes) or man; or

    (3)

    Delivery capability is reduced due to a mechanical failure which will require more than 12 hours to repair.
