§ 40-409. City escort required.

  • It shall be unlawful for the driver of any vehicle, other than a house moving vehicle which is covered by division 2 of this article, to drive such vehicle upon or use in any manner the city streets, as a detour route when such vehicle is unable, because of the height and/or width of said vehicle and/or its load, to clear the M.K.&T. Railroad overpass on U.S. Highway 290; save and except only when such vehicle is preceded and escorted by a city police officer who shall designate the detour route to be used by such vehicle.
